The dog-tale !Have you ever wondered why you are not raging or storming in anger when your dog has made a hole in your sock, or hidden one of them, or eaten away your expensive "LEE" denim jersey when you thought it might help your little 4 year old doggy fight the extremely low temperature !
Well ,my bad ,I should have known that my dog belongs to the colder regions and of course its completely covered with hair and it would not need my expensive warm jersey , but anyway even when I saw the condition of the thing I lend it to her (My dog is actually a bitch, thought it might sound rude calling her a BITCH. But she is pretty though) right after and hour , I could not help but laugh and laugh my heart out.
Genie is a true blessing to our family. Everyone loves her, be it our gardener, her trainer,the sabzi wala ,who comes every morning and even if we are not buying vegetables that day , he will give not just one but 2 tomatoes to Genie after she finishes eating the first one .He thinks he is doing a good deed. Well genie springs up inside with the 2nd one in her mouth.
Well you'll be surprised to know that Genie is the most popular person in our society , not even its owners !
She is so very religious, whenever she finds the gate open she often runs to the temple because the (friends) dirty stray dogs are there.Though she don't like them much, she just wants to show-off.
She's been to beauty parlor twice already. ( Don't know who told her the way).
She believes in a healthy diet and so proteins, iron , calcium( eggs, banana, milk) are a must thing for her. She can even kick or lick you for that..... ( Since I doubt she could ever bite a thief even.)
Oh! she is a smarty , knows an A.c. works better than coolers in summer , and is always successful in getting THE place where one receives the highest amount of cold air.
She has done number of mischief s in such childlike innocent ways :
- peed over the newly grown papaya plant.
- stolen kgs of potatoes, dozens of bananas and eggs from the kitchen rack.
- hidden the plastic and tennis balls of kids who play cricket in the evening under her droopy ears ( The balls were never returned)
- Broken away all my clutches she found on my dressing table.(I use cheap rubber bands now).
- Ran away with the my college uniform duppattas and made holes in it.{and so I looked shabbiest of all in my class, I had to hide these openings or just pretend it stuck on the barbed wire fencing and I pulled it unknowingly and hence the holes.}
- The best of all when she was months old and teething, she pounced on my left leg and her sharp pointed teeth made this little dent on my favorite blue jeans which could be avoided then as it was not so visible, but over the years the cut got wider n wider and now my jeans has completely ruptured from the knee and looks like I imitation of fashion of wearing torn jeans back again. It looks super stylish and I love to flaunt that piece of art.
There are oodles of more such instances with Genie where she has made us laugh our hearts out, cried, made us worry , care, shout at her, hugged her , patted her, made us loved her unconditionally ,unreasonably and wholely.
This all could be a piece of shear entertainment for some but this is how I decide to keep her with me . So that she continues to live with me for evermore.God keep her blessed !
